Sky Mirror Kuala Selangor | Tourism Malaysia
Sasaran Beach is a unique tourist attraction that is only accessible to tourists twice a month, i.e. during the new moon and full moon periods. You see, Sasaran Beach is located 1.74 nautical miles off the coast of the fishing village of Jeram, Selangor, in the middle of the Straits of Malacca Sea. It is when the tide is ideal that this sand bar emerges, Malaysia’s own “Salar de Uyuni”. Sasaran Beach is better known as “Mirror in the Sky “as the shallow waters of this “Secret Island” reflects the sky in all its going, thus creating many unique photography and selfie opportunities for all. The Island is also the habitat for marine agriculture. The most common are the sea and baby clam scattered abundantly in the sand.

There are two types of packages to choose from, i.e. the half day or full day trip. The tour starts in the morning, between 8 am and 10 am with return trips scheduled between 12 pm and 2 pm. In both packages, you will also get to tour around Pulau Angsa and the nearby sea. Accommodations in the form of homestays can be arranged nearby costing RM 350 per night. Fully furnished with air-conditioners, water heater and Wi-Fi, they can accommodate up to 12 people. If the weather of the day is unsuitable for a boat ride, the trip will be called off and visitors will get a refund. In this case, you can self-drive to visit Bukit Melawati to view the Straits of Malacca, Taman Alam for flora and fauna, the unique 100-year old Indian temple at Bukit Rotan, Sasaran Art Park, Jeram Herbal Farm and enjoy fresh, delicious seafood.
