In line with our efforts to reinvigorate the tourism industry, we are pleased to present to you the PATA Dream to Travel Festival (Malaysia segment), a joint collaboration between Tourism Malaysia and The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA)which will be held from 29 June to 3 July 2020.
The Dream to Travel Festival is an online event organised by PATA that brings together travel trade businesses around the world to learn, network and celebrate the power of travel. We are proud to be one of the countries to be featured in this 4-week event that is scheduled to run between June and July.
You are cordially invited to join our sessions as per the attached schedule. This 5-day programme is targeted to give a virtual sneak peek on what you can expect to experience when Malaysia reopens its international borders again.

The Rainforest World Music Festival is a unique festival that brings together on the same stage renowned world musicians from all continents and indigenous musicians from the interiors of the mythical island of Borneo. A not-to-be-missed occasion, this festival guarantees a smashing time in the heart of the Borneo Jungle.

The Borneo Jazz Festival is one of the longest running Jazz festivals in the region. The line-up includes internationally acclaimed artists from USA, Italy, Mexico, Japan, Austria, The Netherlands and some of the region’s best. The on-going objective of Borneo Jazz Festival is to promote music tourism for Sarawak, collaborating with local communities to showcase Borneo through its exotic cuisine and the wide array of indigenous arts & crafts.
Kembara Mahkota Johor is a programme led by His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, the Sultan of Johor. The event was established in 2001 with the aim of bringing the royal family of Johor closer to the people. The convoy is powered by high-powered motorcycles, four-wheel drives, trains and a few vehicles from His Majesty’s personal collection.
Get a glimpse into the lives and cultures of the indigenous people of Selangor. This festival showcases the arts, crafts, music and lifestyles of the various indigenous communities in an entertaining and enjoyable setting.

Putrajaya Floria or the Royal Floria Putrajaya is Malaysia’s leading annual flower and garden festival and is taking place again this year for over 10 days. Getting bigger and better every year, this garden festival is the top event in Putrajaya’s calendar. It promises to be a sweet smelling event and should not be missed!
An extreme sport, this event brings international paragliders performing flying acts against the backdrop of Terengganu’s stunning natural landscape. The outdoor sport will definitely highlight Terengganu as the extreme paragliding hub in the region.

Once again, this annual event returns to the waters of Rompin with the “catch and release“ concept. An event that will draw sailfish anglers from all over the world. The only event in Malaysia listed as one of the qualifying events for the Offshore World Championship ( OWC ) based in Costa Rica.

"Run Among the Tallest Tropical Trees in the World" - Tawau Hills Park is home to some of the tallest tropical trees in the world and a rich biodiversity of flora and fauna. For adventure enthusiasts, the park offers a wide range of activities from camping to hiking, jungle-trekking and mountain climbing. The park is known for its three main peaks/ extinct volcanoes, Mount Magdalena, Mount Lucia and Mount Maria.

BASE jump enthusiasts from around the world converge at KL Tower, a major landmark in the city, for an adrenalin-pumping leap from the tower’s Sky Deck. This annual event puts Malaysia on the world map as a destination for sports tourism.
This festival aims to elevate and uphold our unique cultural arts heritage, indirectly stimulating and popularising cultural arts which are facing a ‘slow death’ and are sadly, disappearing. The festival brings together community-based arts that have been acknowledged by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), and duly recognised as our National Heritage.

The festival features Sarawak’s percussion instruments such as the Gendang Pempat (Iban), Sebang and Gendang Dumbak (Bidayuh), Gendang and Alu & Tawak (Melanau), Jatung Utang (Orang Ulu), Beduk, Rebana, and Hadrah (Malay), Chinese Drums, Modern Drums as well as other performances such as puppet theatre, dances, buskers, and more. It will be held in conjunction with Sarawak Regatta.

Also known as “Poppy Day”, this event is commemorated on a Sunday closest to November 11th every year. War veterans from the Commonwealth countries as well as locals and visitors from all over the world gather at the WWII Memorial to pay tribute to the brave souls of yesteryear.
The Penang Bridge International Marathon is an international running event catered to all from young to old. The event will be held at the Penang Bridge. It is the biggest running event in Malaysia and has been listed in the Malaysia Book of Records.
