Visitors can also opt for the bus service Terminal Bas Sepadu, which stops at Simpang Taiping. From there, take a taxi or e-hailing service to the forest.

Soak in the Warm Waters at the Sungai Klah Hot Springs Park



Enjoy a warm and relaxing soak in the natural hot springs at the Sungai Klah Hot Springs Park. Nestled in the town of Sungkai and the foothills of the Titiwangsa Range, this hot springs park features an iconic hot springs pool, and a swimming pool where you can soak in the cooling waters after a warm dip.


Not only is this park known for its calming and serene environment, but also for the many activities it has in store. Try out the egg-boiling activity where you can literally boil eggs in the natural hot waters from the hot springs. There are also fun water slides that can be found at the park’s swimming pool. The Sungai Klah Hot Springs Park is open from Mondays to Thursdays, from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM and on weekends and public holidays from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

To reach the Sungai Klah Hot Springs Park, visitors can take the North-South Expressway and the 128 Exit to Sungkai. Turn right onto Route 1 after the toll plaza, which heads towards Kuala Lumpur. Follow the road, and turn into Route 159 at the T-junction, which will bring you to Felda Sungai Klah.

By public transportation, visitors can take the ETS to the Slim River Station and from there board a bus, which heads to Sungkai from the Slim River Bus Terminal to SMK Sungai Kruing. Once you arrive, simply hail a taxi or book a car from any e-hailing service to get you to Sungai Klah Hot Springs Park.

Caving in Gua Tempurung


Explore the depths of a million-year-old cave at Gua Tempurung. Known as the oldest and longest cave in Peninsular Malaysia, Gua Tempurung is a fan-favourite by locals and tourists alike. Stretching over 4.9 kilometres, the cave has plenty of hidden wonders for the public to explore. However, only 1.9 kilometres of the cave is currently open for public exploration.

There are five domes in the cave for visitors to explore namely the Golden Flower Cavern, Alam Cavern, Tin Mine Cavern, Gergasi Cavern and the Battlefield Cavern. Each dome is an awe-inspiring sight with its extravagant stalactites and stalagmites, limestones, marbles and water levels of different heights.

To reach Gua Tempurung by public transport, visitors can easily hop into the ETS and make their way to Gopeng. From there visitors can opt for taxis or e-hailing services to get them to the cave.

Hiking up Kledang Hill for a Breathtaking View


Kledang Hill is located at the northern edge of Ipoh and is the perfect place for hiking enthusiasts. With its highest point at 808 metres above sea level, Kledang Hill is known as the 245th highest mountain in Malaysia. Various hiking and biking trails are also available to the public to reach the peak of the mountain. Once you reach the top, which takes around four hours to get there, be sure to take in the vast and scenic views that surround this hill. There is also a waterfall hidden amongst the hills for those who want to enjoy a cool dip or a relaxing break.

To reach Kledang Hill, you can take the ETS from KL Sentral to Lahat, Ipoh and from there, a five-minute taxi or e-hailing drive to the hill. Simply hop onto a bus at Terminal Bas Selatan, which takes you to Jalan Bendahara Ipoh and from there a taxi or any e-hailing service to Kledang Hill.

Ride a Land Rover to Enjoy the View Atop Bukit Larut (Maxwell Hill)

Located in the heart of Taiping, Bukit Larut, once known as Maxwell Hill, is a cooling and scenic hill, which is located over 100 metres above sea level. Named after a British Assistant Resident, William George Maxwell, Bukit Larut is known as one of the many historical sites in Taiping Town today.

Bukit Larut is the perfect place for those who wish to escape the town’s heat and enjoy the cooling atmosphere that the hill brings with daily temperatures ranging from 10 to 25 degrees Celsius. The journey up the hill takes approximately three to five hours. Then, to reach the peak of the hill, visitors are advised to take the Land Rovers available on site. The Land Rover rides are priced at RM10 for each round trip. Bukit Larut is the perfect place for all nature lovers who wish to spend the day amongst the beautiful and serene greenery.

To travel to Bukit Larut, you can take the ETS from KL Sentral to the Taiping Railway Station and from there, it will be a 13-minute drive via taxi or e-hailing services. By bus, on the other hand, you can take the bus from Terminal Bersepadu Selatan to the Taiping Bus Station and from there a taxi or e-hailing service to this historical hill.
