About this Package
Located in the southwestern part of Selangor, the district of Kuala Langat in Selangor is separated into eight sub-districts or administrative divisions which consist of Jugra, Batu, Morib, Kelanang, Telok Panglima Garang, Bandar, Tanjung Dua Belas I and Tanjung Dua Belas II.
Tracing back in time, the name of Kuala Langat is believed to have been originated from its position at the estuary of Sungai Langat. Besides, the selangat fish that live here may have further cemented the ‘Langat’ name. Nowadays, Kuala Langat has greatly transformed from the sleepy district become one of the most attractive tourist destinations and rich with historical heritage.
This tour will start with a visit to Sijangkang Mangrove Recreational Park which located in Telok Panglima Garang, Kuala Langat District, Selangor. The park occupies 5.5 km area and was originally developed from an illegal garbage dump site. The recreational park was opened to public on August 20, 2015 and development will continue to be carried out to ensure the park remains relevant as a one-stop centre for leisure and learning. The motto "Experience natural ecology‟ is the basis of the development of this recreational park and "Edu-Recreation‟ is used as a module for each program carried out. It was initiated and built by the villagers of Kampung Sijangkang. To date, the recreational park is funded by the villagers by way of crowdfunding.
This tour also will provide you an interesting tour including tour to Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands. Here, the visitor may experience the beauty of natural diversity encompassing 111 acres. Discovery Wetlands is a sanctuary to wildlife like crocodiles and hippopotamus. Explore attractions and activities such as bird watching, fishing, boat cruise, hot air balloon riding, cycling and many more.
The final visit is at Cunang Beach. Cunang Beach has beautiful sand dunes and white sands maintained by Mah Meri orang asli villagers amid a mangrove forest near Tanjung Sepat. Evidence of Mah Meri handicraft skills can be seen in the design of the huts. Aside from handicrafts made from beach trash, a row of indigenous huts with wall decorations woven with pandan leaves is seen along this award-winning beach.
